New Generation Automatic Overdrive Transmission for Classic GM Cars
October, 2007
(Rockford, Tenn.) - For more than ten years, General Motors has used electronically controlled automatic transmissions, eliminating all vacuum actuated models such as the 700R4. Along with this electronic “brain” came major advances in durability and shift quality and torque capacity.
Now Keisler Engineering introduces the A41, the new generation transmission for GM classic cars, street rods, and trucks based on proven electronic control technology. Featuring a 4th gear ratio of .70, the A41 transmission provides enjoyable low rpm cruising with shift quality rivaled only by new cars. The A41 comes in three models ranging in torque capacity from a minimum of 450 ft-lbs, up to a whopping 650 ft-lbs. Each fully remanufactured A41 includes a custom stall torque converter, dyno tested with transmission and electronically pre-programmed Keisler Transmission Controller. Famous for turn-key transmission packages, Keisler provides a fully developed and complete kit with all the application-specific accessories, including driveshaft, crossmember, dipstick, cooler lines, wiring, TPS, Speedo cable, shifter linkage and color installation manual.
Each A41 unit is fully warranted for one year or 12,000 miles.
