FAQ: What is the difference between Keisler ClassicFit™ and Keisler PerfectFit™?

PerfectFit™ is a version of the Tremec transmission that is heavily customized by Keisler. The main aluminum cases are machined to fit the larger Tremec transmission into the factory tunnel with minimal or no modification to the car. Also, the PerfectFit™ shifter is Keisler's custom design, and is physically relocated directly below the tunnel hole to give the shortest throws, which are also symmetric left to right and front to back. The Keisler PerfectFit™ gives the best fit and shift quality of any custom Tremec solution on the market - Period.

The Keisler ClassicFit™ emulates the PerfectFit™ shifter handle position, but the Tremec transmission is bone stock otherwise. With the Keisler ClassicFit™, as with ANY bolt on offset shifter, compromises are made to the overall result - mainly in the amount of tunnel modification to fit the main body, the amount of the shifter hole modification, and shifter throws being slightly compromised because the pivot joint is on the centerline of the tunnel rather than being directly below the factory 4-speed hole. This is most important when converting a factory 4-speed car, and you don't want to modify the car any more than absolutely needed.  It’s also a consideration when wanting to use the factory console and shifter boot w/ trim ring.
